Each month at our membership meeting the Forest City Brewers host a homebrew contest, with a different featured style chosen for each month. The contest is judged during a blind sampling taste test by those in attendance, and points and prizes are awarded to the winners. The monthly points are compiled and used to determine the ultra prestigious Forest City Brewer's "Homebrewer of the Year Award".

*For February’s style competition it was decided that all competitors will brew an English Brown Ale
using the exact same recipe. Everything, including the yeast and hops will be the same.
The only thing that will be different will be our individual brewing process.Points are awarded for as follows:
1st 10 points
2nd 8 points
3rd 6 points
Entering without placing 3 pointsAmendment: Point judging totals start at Jan. 1st and end the following year.
For ties, points are rounded up (if needed).
