President’s Notes

Deja Vue fellow brewers and beer aficionados. I hope each of you and your families had a great holiday season. I would like to begin by giving thanks to our out-going officer, Ken Lonergan. Our club is grateful for your contributions to our organization. I would like to welcome Lynn Foster as our incoming Activities Director, as well as our returning officers, Nicki Lawson, Rich Theryl and Andy Friedl.

Our last meeting did not go as planned. Upon arriving for our regular meeting, we were told the basement was given to another group, and we would be given a space upstairs. We all know that that it nearly impossible to hold a meeting upstairs.

Fortunately, we know the drill well and quickly found ourselves at Diamond Dave’s. A big thanks to George Tauscher, and his staff, who let us use his facility. Luckily, we did not have any business to discuss, only homebrew sampling. We had around twelve members for our meeting. I certain we lost a few members in the confusion at LT’s. We will work towards a long-term solution with the situation at LT’s.

I hope to see everyone at our next meeting on Wednesday, January 15. Everyone that has reserved a kit for the February extract competition has picked it up by now. Also, please remember that our 2002 membership fees are now due.
